Who you'll hear from
Space Days Kazakhstan 2026, at Nazarbayev University in Astana, is the region's main space forum. Stardust is attending: Zain Tawana, our Chief Impact and Partnership Officer, will be there for all three days.
WHY IT MATTERS TO US
On 8 September Dr. Muhammad Sharif of ICESCO moderates the ICESCO International Symposium, and there is a session called "Space Begins in the Classroom" on inspiring a new generation of engineers, which is exactly what we do.
WHAT IS ON
Ministers of AI and Digital Development and of Science and Higher Education open the forum. A meeting with cosmonauts, "Space Unites: A View From Orbit". Panels on on-board AI, satellite communications, methane detection from orbit, GNSS resilience, and regional space collaboration with SUPARCO, Uzbekcosmos and the Kenya Space Agency. Speakers from Planet Labs, EarthDaily and AirMO.
On 9 and 10 September there is an optional trip to the Baikonur Cosmodrome: Gagarin's Start, the Buran assembly hall, the Energia-M test stand, and watching a Soyuz-2.1a lift off carrying Progress MS-35.
CAN I JOIN FROM HOME? We have asked the organisers whether there will be a stream. If there is, we will add the link here and issue a Stardust certificate of attendance to any member who watches. Follow this event and you will be told either way.
